The work of Doctors Without Borders
Doctors Without Borders, through their relentless efforts, are on the front lines of humanitarian aid, providing medical care in critical areas around the world. Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Yemen, Democratic Republic of Congo – wherever there is a need, they are there. Only in 2023:
- They cared for 16,459,000 patients
- They supported 161,000 severely malnourished children
- 4,650 people rescued at sea
- They provided psychological support to 493,900 patients
- They vaccinated 3,295,700 people against measles
In Greece, the organization has a presence in Athens, Lesvos and Samos, providing medical care, psychological support and legal assistance to refugees and migrants.
